Hill Country Bible Conference

The Hill Country Bible Conference is set to kick off tomorrow evening!  We are excited to be able to attend, and I am thankful for all those who have worked hard to make this happen.  I know from past experience how much time and energy it takes to pull off a successful conference, and am happy that others are making this happen!  :)  Here is the information from the Alliance of Confessing Eveangelicals website:

Speakers
Paul Jones photoPaul Jones is an Alliance Council member and has been organist and music director at Tenth Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, PA, since 1998. There he conducts the Tenth Church Choir and Tenth Chamber Players and oversees the entire music program and staff. He has been an adjunct associate professor of Choral Music at Temple University since 2009. Dr. Jones holds undergraduate degrees in music (performance and composition) and in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University, the master’s degree in piano performance and the Doctor of Music degree from Indiana University in choral conducting. He is the author of two books on church music and more than 200 sacred compositions.
 Steven Lawson photo
Steven Lawson is the senior pastor of Christ Fellowship Baptist Church in Mobile, AL. The focus of Dr. Lawson’s ministry is the verse by verse exposition of God’s Word. He is the author of sixteen books, the most recent being Pillars of Grace, The Unwavering Resolve of Jonathan Edwards. Dr. Lawson is a Council member of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals and serves on the Alliance executive staff. He is a teaching fellow with Ligonier Ministries and a visiting professor at the Ligonier Academy, The Master’s Seminary, and Samara Theological Seminary in Russia.

Derek Thomas is an Alliance Council member, editor of the Alliance’s e-zine, reformation21, and the John E. Richards professor of systematic and practical theology at Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson, MS. After pastoring in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Dr. Thomas came to the USA in 1996. He also serves as associate pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC.
